UFC on Fuel TV 2 fight card finalised for April 14, 2012 – UFC news
Fuel TV is ready to televise its first ever Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) show on February 15, 2012, in the form of a special edition UFC on Fuel TV 1.
In addition, the management has decided the second show of the series 'UFC on Fuel TV 2' which will be headlined by a brawl between Antônio Rogério Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson.
UFC and Fuel TV have entered in an agreement for seven years, in accordance to which Fuel TV will televise UFC shows as per their schedule. UFC shows are also televised by Fox and FX channels and are successful in the masses who love to watch unarmed brawling
sports.
UFC on Fuel TV 2 or UFC on Fuel TV: Nogueira vs. Gustafsson will take place at Ericsson Globe Arena situated in Stockholm, Sweden. The date decided for the live broadcast is April 14, 2012.
The fight card decided up till now with the stipulation of ‘changes are possible at any time’, consists of four main card brawls and six preliminary card clashes in different weight divisions.
The Saturday night event will be the first ever UFC extravaganza held in Sweden. The main event is a light heavyweight brawl between Swedish Alexander Gustafsson and Brazilian Antônio Rogério Nogueira. The second main card brawl will witness American Brian
Stann take on Italy’s Alessio Sakara in the middleweight division.
The third bout will take place between Brazilian Paulo Thiago and Siyar Bahadurzada who hails from Afghanistan and the fourth brawl will be the clash between American DaMarques Johnson and Britain’s John Maguire. Both these fights will take place in the
welterweight division.
In the preliminary card Brad Pickett will collide with Damacio Page in the bantamweight division and featherweight clash will witness Akira Corassani take on Jason Young. Papy Abedi will fight against James Head in the welterweight division and in the light
heavyweight bout Cyrille Diabate will stand against Jorgen Kruth in the octagon.
The middleweight division will present the clash between Francis Carmont and Magnus Cedenblad and the last prelim bout will take place between Simeon Thoresen and Besam Yousef in the welterweight division.
At the moment the clash between Diego Nunes and Dennis Silver in the featherweight division is still pending since it is not included in the official fight card and the engagement has only been announced by the UFC officials.
