UFC on FOX 2 to feature a bout between Evan Dunham and Paul Sass – UFC News
According to the officials of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Evan Dunham will face British MMA fighter Paul Sass. Their bout is scheduled for UFC on FOX 2.
The UFC will be producing the event, which will be held on January 28, 2012 in Chicago at the United Center.
The bout between Dunham and Sass would be an interesting one as both are young, and have shown aggression inside the fighting cage at a number of occasions. The 23-year old Sass made his successful UFC debut at
UFC 120 in October 2010. He faced and defeated Mark Holst in the first round when the event took place in England. He forced his opponent to tap out with his triangle-choke submission tactic.
Sass would create some sort of intimidation on Dunham’s mind as they head into the fight in January. Sass has won all twelve of his professional fights and remains undefeated in his MMA career. He won eleven of his fights by his
submission manoeuvres in which majority of them are the triangle-choke and the heel hook.
29-year old Dunham made his UFC debut at UFC 95 in February 2009. He was successful in defeating Per Eklund. His two losses broke his winning streak and he would focus on winning at UFC on FOX 2 so he could regain his winning streaks.
Dunham, on the other hand, has won twelve fights in his career and lost two. He was on a winning streak when his career started. He had his first bout in April 2007 against Gabriel Martinez. He extended his winning streak from
April 2007 to June 2010 winning eleven consecutive fights.
The American MMA fighter then lost two straight fights. He lost to Sean Sherk at UFC 119 in September 2010 and Melvin Guillard at UFC live event in January 2011. With a win in September 2011 over Shamar Bailey at UFC Fight Night,
he would look forward to secure a win over Sass in January 2012 to begin the New Year with a bang. Both fighters are part of the UFC lightweight division. Securing a victory at UFC on FOX 2 will not only give them a win, but it would also give them a chance
to fight for the lightweight title in 2012.
