UFC or Pride better?

Question

I am a new MMA fan, and just got out of watching the wwe finaly! I was just wandering, which one is better, ufc or pride?

I think ufc is but that may just b me.

Pride has less rules and no weight classes. Now that Brock Lesnar is ruining the UFC I wish Pride was still on. That was the worst MMA fight I've ever seen. He only landed one clean punch. The rest were to the back of the head. Oh and he kneed him like 10 times in the spine. Lesnar should have been DQd. I will never buy another PPV that he is fighting in. Even the WEC is better now.

Pride no longer exists due to a yakuza scandel, their best fighters sans Fedor's contract were bought out by UFC. Ergo UFC is better.

well either of the two is better then the WWE so that good, however i think Pride, is better bc it brought in more diverse fighters, and the events where just more fun the watch, just my opinin, plus i loved knees, and soccer kicks, and head stomps to a downed opponent i think they where great, bc i would stop guys from turtaling up and staling like Heath Herring did in his fight against Lesnar

Pride was absorbed/taken over by the UFC.  They're now one thing.  Also, Pride used to allow a lot of things that UFC doesn't, like kicking in the head when on the ground.  Some would say changing to the safer rules is better for the sport, and some would say that it makes UFC lose some of it's authenticity.  I would say that the safety of the fighters is the most important thing.

Also, any Pride fight that you see will be an old one, since it technically doesn't exist anymore.  I would stick with the current UFC stuff, since it's so exciting!

The ufc just bought pride, which sucks, I like both fight organizations because they both promoted the sport, but if I had to choose one I would have to say pride, why? Because of all the respect one fighter had for another, I guess it was because of the Japanese customs, also there were less rules, and alot more blood, and the fighters,all the champion fighters kicked ***.

PrideFC had financial problems in japan, so UFC did the wise thing and bought them and essentially killed the brand.

brand vs brand when both were up and running...pride killed the ufc. wasn't even close.

UFC is on top of the mountain now. DREAM has since started in japan now (basically PrideFC reborn under better management)...It won't be too long before they start pulling the top guys back over to japan i'm sure.

PRIDE was way better. They took baseball stadiums and put the ring right smack in the middle. So you have this huge crowd. Plus, the first round of Pride fights and sometimes the 2nd were 10 minutes with the second or 3rd usually being 5 minutes. So you got to see alot of carnage and blood. Fighters were able to utilize more of their fighting skills with the extra time rather than rush through fights like we see fighters doing in the UFC. I like the UFC but have you noticed how short and rushed the fights are? Pride also featured more heavy weights such as Don Frye, Mark kerr, Mark Coleman, Mirco cro cop, Heath herring, Antonio nogueria, most of whom are now UFC fighters...REMEMBER...Pride no longer exist it was bought out buy the UFC....but in its day in Japan it drew outrageous crowds....generally hosted the best fighters on a regular bases....you could always count on seeing your favorite fighters fighting more than 2 or 3 times a year because unlike the UFC ( AT THE TIME ), Pride had  the best KNOWN fighters in the world....while the UFC had/has thousands of fighters that only fight 2 or 3 times a year...so how will we ever know how good of fighters they really are? ....there are just too many unknown/mediocre fighters in the UFC......IF FOR ANYTHING, OR JUST FOR THE EXPEREINCE...CHECK OUT THE PRIDE FIGHTS AND YOU WILL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE FROM THE LOUD & RUSHED UFC'S SMALL CROWD FIGHTS!......

DON'T MISTAKE ME...I STILL LOVE UFC FIGHTS/FIGHTERS AND THINK IT IS THE BEST LEAGUE AROUND TODAY.....I JUST MISS PRIDE!!

Well now the UFC is the best but if you asked me a few years back i would have said Pride.

ho and P.S Congratualations on finaly stopping watching me pretend to fight and welcome to a world were me realy fight, I Hate the WWE and my cusine loves it and we Argue alot about which sport is better, and to be honest WWE isnt a sport its a mockery of other sports.
