UFC reinstates Miguel Torres; Dana White happy he learned from his mistake – UFC News
A few weeks ago the American mixed martial art (MMA) fighter, Miguel Angel Torres, was released from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) over an unethical comment he had made on social media. His actions were taken seriously
by the UFC officials as they showed him the door out from the MMA promotion.
According to news, Torres has been brought back into the UFC, as the management and officials of the UFC took the decision of brining back Torres into the promotion. CEO of UFC, Dana White, was the first to confirm the news about
Torres’ return after what was thought as a permanent release from the UFC. White was talking highly about Torres and the way he adapted to his new found life after going away from UFC. While talking to a press conference, White said, "It's not about the mistake
that you make, it's about how you handle yourself after you make that mistake. He went and handled himself like a man and I respect that." Torres accepted his mistake and after the news of his reinstatement in the UFC was made public, Torres said, "What I
said was very wrong. Words are hurtful. There are victims out there that have been through that. "
Torres has been a bantamweight fighter and remained champion at the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC). He won the title at WEC 32 in February 2008 and successfully defended it three times in a row before losing it to Brian Bowles
at WEC 42 in August 2009.  He has never been a controversial spotlight in his career and this was the first time when his actions compelled the UFC to take such a drastic measure.
Even at the time of his release, nearly three weeks back, Torres handled the news with maturity and did not go about telling it to everyone. Torres had made an inappropriate comment on a rape incident which took place days before
his comment surfaced up. It has also been reported that Torres, during his time away from the UFC, met rape victims and centres where they are given a safe heaven. He has learned from this experience and has grown into a better man than he was before.
