UFC sets Chris Camozzi Dustin Jacoby bout at UFC on FOX 2 – UFC News
The officials of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have announced a bout for the UFC on FOX 2 event scheduled for next year. According to reports from the UFC management, American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters Chris
Camozzi will face Dustin Jacoby inside the UFC fight ring when UFC on FOX 2 is held on January 28, 2012 in Chicago, at the United Center.
Both the fighters would be featuring in a middleweight bout in Chicago which would be an important fight for both fighters. Camozzi, nicknamed Kamikaze, made his UFC debut in June 2010 at The Ultimate Fighter event against James
Hammortree. Camozzi had a successful start in his UFC career when he won the bout through a unanimous decision. He won his second bout at UFC in February 2011 against Yang Dongi at UFC 121. On the other hand, Jacoby has to improve his form and the bout against
Camozzi would be the one where he can make an impact in the UFC.
Camozzi, the 25-year-old MMA veteran was part of The Ultimate Fighter season 11. He was on the verge of losing his chance to compete in the UFC after his lose to Kyle Noke at UFC 127 in February 2011 an later to Francis Carmont
at UFC 137 in October 2011. Although he won at Shark Fights 15 event in May 2011. But the concern was that he lost two fights in the UFC.   The UFC has given him the chance to take part in the UFC on FOX 2 event.
The 23-year-old Jacoby was undefeated when he started his MMA career with six straight wins. Jacoby made his UFC debut in October 2011.In a much anticipated fight, Jacoby took on Clifford Sharks at UFC 137. The bout was considered
to be an easy one for Jacoby, as he had a strong winning statistics behind him in his MMA career. But Sharks proved to be too much for Jacoby, the UFC debutant. Jacoby lost his debut UFC fight by a unanimous decision from the judges.
For Jacoby, his bout at UFC on FOX 2 would be significant for he would need a win to get his UFC career started. For Camozzi, his bout at UFC on FOX 2 would also mean value for he lost his previous bout at the UFC. It is certain
that both fighters would be eager to score a win once they step inside the UFC octagon ring in January 2012.
