Question:

UFOs? Sighted any?

Do you believe UFOs exist?

Many people claim they have sighted them, yet so-called scientists tend to give explanations that these people are mistaken, and actually see something else (e.g a balloon, or a remote control aeroplane etc).

Also, books claim these so-called UFOs being sighted are infact weapons which are secretly being tested.

e.g.

Many people sighted a strange round shaped object flying around america.

This was later confirmed to be infact a secret plane the americans had been testing.

And many programs on TV, and many books, talk about how someone claiming to see a UFO was PROVED to be mistaken.

So the media actually gets people to believe in the UFO theory less and less.

Why?

I dont know.

Anyway, i must say i think there is some truth behind it.

TOO many people claim to have seen them, and i dont think all these thousands and thousands of people happened to be hallucinating, or seeing something looking remarkably like a UFO.

  1. I was dropping a friend off after class (at night, clear night with stars).  My school is next to a small mountain.  I was dropping him off and  he said "do you see that"?  I was like holy **** what is that?  There was this dull shiny thing (like foil)hovering in the sky.  It moved side to side very slowly.  It looked the size of a street light but up much higher in the sky.  I even got out of my car so that there was nothing in front of my eyes not even glass.  We just looked at each other like, OK.  If he wasn't with me to see it I probably wouldn't believe myself.

  2. When my kids were young about 8 & 10 on a lark we decided to go to the UFO museum in Roswell, we took some other boys this age. Just thought it was funny it would be a hoot.  Well when we got there I saw that people were really taking this stuff seriously.  They have all kinds of research material, in their library in the museum there are government documents to look at.  I don't know , I guess it was seeing the US government documents that made it seem legitamit to me.  But I definately thought there might be something to this.

And once, when I was in ElPaso, I was at an intersection, I think it was Yarborough, there was an McDonalds on the corner by the interstate.  It was cloudy and I looked up to get a look at the clouds and there was an break in the clouds in the break I saw something that looked like stainless steel and it was shaped like an old 45 record and was spinning just like I was looking at about a 1/4 of an old 45 record while it was playing and it looked like brushed stainless steel.  so I just saw that part through the clouds.  It shocked me and scared me, it looked so close like I could just reach out and touch it, I swear I almost swerved when the light turned.  I couldn't wait for the light to turn so I could get out of there and get home.  I was pretty shaken up and I couldn't tell anybody. Those people that report things like that are so brave because I just couldn't.  So I don't know what that was.  I hope it was some man made something or other, but I just don't know. So I don't believe all the hype but I sure believe it is possible. Oh yeah that thing wasn't the size of a 45, it was huge, like 1/4 of it would cover the intersection.

  3. 1.) It's not impossible for life to exist elsewhere.  It is quite likely.

2.) Just because life exists elsewhere doesn't mean it has visited this planet.

Thousands of anecdotal UFO reports does not equal one piece of evidence.  Every claimed sighting is unique to itself.  Every claimed sighting can have a reasonable explanation.

Once someone is convinced ET UFOs exist they are more willing to identify as an ET UFO a random sighting of something they can't immediately identify.  I have been with people who have been very quick to call something a UFO that we later discovered most certainly wasn't.

So some people believe in them because they want them to exist.  This same desire motivates people to call something an ET UFO that isn't.  Add to that the multitude of sightings that really are airplanes, balloons, etc. and you have almost no sightings that can be taken seriously.

Take the recent UFO sighting in Texas.  One guy said he was sure it was a mile wide.  Another guy said it was a half mile wide.  A third person said it was the size of a Wal-Mart.  They all saw it at night.  It is not possible to determine the size, shape, speed and distance of an object in the night sky unless you have a frame of reference.

  4. I've never seen a UFO and would be happy to never encounter one. I do think that there have been far too many believable and similar recollections of alien abductions also, and so I think they are real occurances.

My conclusion about both of these is that aliens who are apparently abducting people, taking reproduction samples, and giving them a consistent message, are not beings from other planets, but demonic beings manifesting and masquerading as humanoid beings from distant planets or other dimensions. Even the Bible speaks of demonic-involved physical breeding occurring since the beginning of our human history. Their creations, using human women, were the  Nephilim, also called Greek demi-gods, or the Canaanite giants (which seem to have been the tribes God instructed the Jews to kill without restraint, including the livestock, because of their great evil, but perhaps too because of genetic contaminations). It always struck me as odd that beings supposedly so advanced use torturous probing techniques on the abductees. And why must they force them all to cooperate if they are advanced and benevolent? If I’m wrong and they are humanoids, (Americans should) remember to tell them to ‘Eat the Canadians first!”

The messages aliens give their abductees have been along the lines that the physical earth needs urgent help, and that they are here to give us that help. They also state that some people are hindering progress toward “fixing” the earth and that these need to be removed and given time elsewhere to mature. However, I believe this message is all a demonic lie designed to propagandize us so that when God does remove his own (the Saved, particularly Christians) at the coming Biblically-predicted event known as the Rapture, people left behind will believe these aliens did it. Imagine if they made an especially impressive appearance in their UFOs right after the Rapture and told us they did it, and perhaps that they planted humanity onto the earth long ago? Wouldn’t most people believe them? Such a scenario would cause people to disbelieve the foretold Biblical explanation and begin following the words of these beings. A tremendous victory for Satan, and probably an introduction to the Bible-predicted Antichrist world leader who Satan wants us to submit to. The Bible even says a deception is coming that is so good that even the elect (Saved) of God will nearly be fooled by it.

  5. A few years ago I thought I saw a UFO.

I was sure it was a UFO. I saw it out my window at around 7:30 p.m. And the next evening I saw it again, in the same place, at roughly the same time. And I saw it again and again for the next few days.

Then around the 7th time, it was much closer to me. And then I noticed the truth - it was just a helicopter, making its rounds I guess.

My point is that people can see something far away enough to assume that it is what they want it to be. "We only see what  we want to see."

That being said, I do believe there are aliens somewhere out there, but I don't think even they have the technology to travel all the way to our little planet over here.

  6. I don't claim to know what is inside UFOs.  A thousand events turning out to be explainable don't provide any insight into event # 1001, if it isn't explainable.

I do believe there's plenty of cause to believe UFOs exist and they aren't what we'd normally call 'normal'.

Two of several UFO events among those recorded, investigated and verified suggest it doesn't matter much what any of us might think:  something is going on we can't begin to understand:

    1967-The Malmstrom AFB UFO/Missile Incident

    1967 - Colares, Brazil

These are only two of many

Edit:  I'm adding some links to pre-20th Century UFO sightings so's we don't have any mistaken information unrefuted.

Edit 2:  Elderly and respected astronomers have a long history of reporting UFO sightings.  Many of these are a far cry from 'merely streaks in the sky'.  I'm adding a link to some of their reports.

  7. Yes, I have seen one. About 15 years ago. The first thing that caught my eye, was a strange bright light in the sky. I started watching it, then another appeared. They were moving very slowly side to side, kind of hopping over another. I was on the phone with someone who just got out of the airforce, he lived about a mile away in the direction of the lights. He said there was no way it was planes, not that I thought they were. My mom was outside looking at them too, then one of us looked up and not too far over the telephone post, maybe 100 feet? there were 3 red glowing orbs, on a ship in a triangular pattern. softly glowing and there was absolutely no noise.

the strangest thing about it though was that me and my mother did not talk about it for months. Like we forgot about it. Although UFOs is a fav subject of ours.  one night at supper, one of us said remember seeing that ufo.. We both freaked b/c we never talked aboutr it til then..weird.

  8. Well, I know they do, I have seen one. One afternoon my two sisters ,my younger brother and myself  were in the back yard playing horses. Our ages were at the time, 12, 9, 8 (me) and 7. Anyways, Crissy and me were supposed to be the  horses while Patty and Ronnie were the husband and wife farmers. They were over by the playhouse.Crissy and me were over by the garage, pretending to drink water from the waterfall, which was actually the sprinkler running in the front yard. I looked into the sky, (west) and saw this blue ball looking thing in the sky. I thought it was a balloon because there was nothing else it could have been at that time.(1962) I turned and asked Crissy what it was. A balloon? The very next second, the thing was right over our heads, just sitting there. It was Big! and I mean Big! I 'll never forget what it looked like,or sounded like. It was so unbelievable, things like that wern't supposed to exist, but there it was. It hovered above our heads for at least five minuites. Not to far up either. What amaized me the most was looking at the bottom, which was spinning around, and had these things on it that looked like hex nuts. It was dark blue in color ,and round like a ball. You could see panels all around it,and it made this sound like you have never before heard. I remember seeing Patty running out of the playhouse to see what was making that noise, and I saw Ronnie running around the pepper tree to see what it was. Crissy was just standing there like she was frozen. Suddenly she yelled," It's a flying Sauser!" I just took off running into the house to get the older kids . We all ran then. Of course nobody ever beleived us, But I swear on my life it was true. I wished I could see it again. I wouldn't be so scared this time.

  9. I've only seen them in a really VIVID dream. There were bunches of them ..huge and flying low..in and out of the clouds. It seemed so real.

I'm sending you a link. Evidently there have been other people in the distant past who might have seen them too. Enjoy!

  10. Yeah. Saw one of those giant black triangles.  It was as big as a battleship. Just hovering about 300 feet off the ground.  I'd love to know who's making them and how they fly.

  11. As an astronomer who has spent the better part of the last 17 years looking up at the sky every night, here's my theory.

Most people who report seeing UFOs are not astronomers.  But astronomers look up and take pictures of the sky more than anyone else, on a nightly basis.  If there was something up there, we'd be a lot more likely to see it than anyone else.

But we don't.  And I've realized the reason to this after hosting many public 'star parties' - showing the public objects in space using a telescope.  When astronomers look up, we know what we're looking at.  We immediately know the difference between a star, a planet, a plane, a helicopter, a satellite, a bird, a meteor, a comet, the space station, and an iridium flash.  We've seen it all before.  I always have people asking me if Venus is a UFO, or that blinking plane over there.  People often get confused, especially since you don't have anything to compare for scale if something is overhead.

If you rarely bother to look at the sky, you're probably going to be confused when you do.

EDIT: Consider this then.  About 100 years ago, there were no UFO sitings.  Instead, people saw and were abducted by fairies instead.  With the onset of space technology, and movies about aliens, all of a sudden aliens have replaced fairies in the collective conscioussness.  Early reports of alien sitings exactly mimicked the aliens in the early sci-fi movies.

Frankly, it looks to me like people are either hallucinating, not looking too closely at things, making stuff up, or having false memories implanted by dishonest therapists (there was a whole book written on this a few years ago).

  12. I saw two in New York City 31 years ago... but who believes a ten year old? And who would believe a 10 year old to be a reliable observer.  When I researched it about 10 years ago, there was a bunch of reported sightings in Suffern NY, near the Ramapo mountains during that time September 4-9, 1976 - a short flight for a plane or UFO to NYC, coincidently the area of the Ramapo mountains is close to the Wanaque reservior which has had it's share of unknown activity over the years. All of this doesn't substantiate my claims any further.

    P.S. my sighting was Sept 10, 1976 10:00pm NYC
