OK. I want to go on birth control. Not because I'm having s*x (I'm a virgin and I've never even had a boyfriend), but because my period is really weird and I get terrible cramps.

My parents won't let me because "It would let me sleep around." WTF.

Help? I've tried explaining it to them, but they for some reason think I'm going to turn into a sl*t onceI get it. I'm 15.

Whats a convincing arguement for it? And at my next physical do you think the doctor will try to explain it to them for me if I ask him?

  1. the doctor should explain to your parents about the other benefits. i've been on them since i was 12 or 13 because i have pcos, and my doctor explained to my mom stuff about them, and she felt a lot better about it. i haven't had s*x since i've been on them.

  2. I don't see nothing wrong !

By the way tell your parents that with or without Birth Control you could still become a sl*t..  I'm not saying you will, I'm just saying this for your parents to understand that the only reason you want Birth Control is to regulate your period...

    Good Luck !!

  3. be like hey mom i have bad cramps and im really tired of it can i get some birth control or something?!!?? i dont want it so i cna have s*x i want to stop my cramps

  4. Midol helps with cramps,so does advil.

  5. Talk to a doctor and see what she says about it and what your options are.. then, try your parents again when you have more knowledge about what you plan on doing:]

  6. Your best option is explaining the situation to your doctor and see if they will help explain it to your parents.

  7. look up some websites that tell you the pros about birthcontrol.

  8. Just tell your mom the truth and show her you are telling the truth

  9. That is what doctors are for. Explain to your doctor why you want to go on the pill because there are different types of pills that are better for pms cramps.  Then tell him how your parents feel about it and ask him if he can talk to them as well.

You don't actually need your parents consent to get the pill. I had made a private doctors appointment with my family doctor and he gave me the birth control  but told me that i should talk to my parents about it and i eventually did.

  10. Yeah, i would definately involve the doc. Good luck!
