UGH...Short Story Help?

I'm writing a short story for my aunt (for fun) because she's getting married, and it has to be funny, but I just CANNOT think of anything. I wrote one page of a story, but it seems so dull and dry. Does anyone have any ideas for a FUNNY short story? Like what can her and her fiances alternate identities be? I thought about her as a store clerk by day, ninja by night, and him as a mob boss, but its dull! Help please? I'll post my story below and i'd like either some tips to make it better or wayyyy better ideas. I'm stuck. I find it hard to write and not include a lot of details so thats why its so long and boring. Please help me!!!! Thanks a bunch!

I dont really see much wrong with this story, having read it all, i found it quite interesting. I would enjoy reading the whole thing once it is finished. I think that you should keep on with this idea.

The problem you are having is probably due to the fact that, in general, ninjas and store clerks are not really funny topics so it's hard to interject humor into it despite the odd combination.

Animals can be funny since they seem to have their own personalities.  Perhaps you can use animals that have similar personas to your aunt and soon to be uncle and throw them into a situation that more resembles human life as opposed to an animal’s life.  Maybe something along the line of the little white lie that gets bigger and bigger and completely explodes into something enormous and uncontrollable.  Try to pick out one aspect of common everyday life that we’ve all been through and use that as the focus.  Then exaggerate it way beyond the norm to make it funnier and more interesting.
