UGH someone help please! DIRECTV DVR Q...?

ok here is the problem... its happened a few times now too.

i have my dvr set to record several shows. when i go to view those shows, the first few minutes of the show will play but then the screen goes black. i can hear the audio but i cannot see the show... i dont know what the proble is, i have tried rewinding and all that i dont know what else to do and no it was not raining while it was recording so i dont know why i cannot see the screen!!!! please help

Sounds like a DVR malfunction.
