UH OH...Cubs are struggling aren't they?

They suck at their offense now...

Look at them being beat easily by Arizona..

scoring less I mean LESS runs

They have decent pitching but offense doesn't work well compared to their offense before the break

Is this the time they would blow the lead in the NL central with the Brewers and Cardinals catching up?

  1. They're just in a little slump.  Every team goes through slumps throughout the season, the season is far too long to play perfect baseball all year.  The Cubs have also been missing a huge spark in their offense in Alfonso Soriano, yet they've still managed to win games and hold on to 1st place and the best NL record.  All of that without their best player.  When your 2,3 and 4 hitters can't push runs across the plate it's hard to win ball games.  DLee, ARam and Fukudome have not been hitting very well and that'll hurt any team.  They will start hitting again and continue winning ball games.  I'm not worried about them at all.  I still feel that they'll make the playoffs either through winning the division or taking the wild card.  Everyone is looking for them to fall apart and after a few losses everyone thinks this is where they start their slide.  They haven't done it all year, they've held on to 1st place almost the entire season in the toughest division in the NL and quite possibly the entire league.


  2. Sounds like bad news for the Brew Crew and Cards. Yes almost all the Cubs are struggling right now. Which means they will all get hot at the same time shortly. If the Cubs have decent pitching the Brewers and Cards must be less than decent. Besides it would be boring to lock up the division in July like we could if we wanted.

    P.S. Cubs are Better!!!

  3. They will pull it out. Soriano is coming back. This will give them more pop and relieve some of the pressure on the other hitters.

  5. one player like soriano cant change the whole offense, h**l hes not pujols.  The brewers will catch the cubs, could even be the cardinals.  But thats just a question of who will pass the cubs first, because i bet both will pass the cubs.

  7. They struggle on the road.  Brewers will take the division.  No one can beat the Sheets/Sabathia duo.
