I've looked all over and I can't find my immunization records. I called my old doctor and he explained that they misplaced (aka. LOST) several patients immunization records (i have a new doctor now, but I was never able to transfer the records.) Also, I was homeschooled so no local school will have a copy of them. I've called everywhere to try to find them and they are just...GONE!

I need my immunization records to get into school now...what do I do?

I won't have to start over will I? That would be a lot of shots....

  1. You might be able to contact your local health department to see if they have your records.

  2. No, you absolutely do not have to get new shots.  I am not sure where you can call to get them, But I do know that if you go to a public school, it is not required for you to start school.  Your parents can sign a waiver.  I didn't have any shots when I was in school.  My Dad had to argue with them a little, but they have to teach you regardless of whether or not you have your shots.  But at any rate, I don't think it would be healthy for you to get the shots again.

  3. IVE MOVED TO A NEW STATE AND AND GOT A NEW DOCTOR AND WAS ASKED ABOUT MY SHOT RECORDS AND CANT FIND THEM ANY WHERE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME
