  1. In Windows:

    Right click>Properties

Uncheck "Auto hide the taksbar" & "Lock the taskbar"

& then drag & drop the bar back to the bottom.

  2. You mean the task bar that has <start>,icons & the the time? If so, if that bar on at the top instead of the bottom, take your pointer to the task bar, left click and drag it back to the bottom. This has happened to me a few times.

  3. Move your mouse pointer so it's above the bar in the blank area, right click on it and choose Properties. Click the "Autohide the task bar" option so there's no check in the box, then click on OK. Then click and drag the empty part of the bar and drag to the bottom.

It may have gotten like that if you happened to brush up gainst the mouse and clicked the button at the same time moving the mouse up while the mouse pointer was over the task bar. As to how autohide got turned on I'm not sure... Maybe a kid you know did this?  ;-)

    This may fix it.

  4. ok for Windows, Right click on the bar and hit properties, then unselect the auto Hide Task bar, then hit ok, and choose any side of the screen and then right click again, and hit lock Taskbar, and YOUR DONE. For Mac, drag the dock to any side of the screen except the top part of the screen, unless you have "tinker toys" A Mac OS X Application for tinkering the System.

  5. Windows XP?  You should be able to left-click and drag the bar to whatever side of the screen you want it on.  To stop it from hiding, right click on an empty spot in the bar, select 'properties', and uncheck the Auto-Hide the task bar box.

  6. place the pointer on the bar, hold down the left mouse key and drag it back to the bottom. then right click on the bar, open properties and uncheck the (hide the task bar) box.

  7. if it is a mc dock choose dock and then pick left, bottom, or right
