Say I want to get out of the US for a while, and work in another country for a few years. I'd prefer to go to a nice developed country that speaks english.

The main options I'm looking at right now are the UK, Canada, and Australia. Can anyone tell me which one would be nicer?

I hear Canada is really cold, for example!

  1. why would you think canada is cold???  it is no different than anywhere else, we have cold days, we have hot days...

  2. They are all great choices.  So different yet the same in some ways.  Why not spend some time in all three and settle down in your favourite?  You could do Canada in the summer, Oz in the Winter (their summer) and the UK in the summer again.  Get a global circle airfare...

  3. Canada is cold in the WINTER yes, but in some provinces (like out west) it rarely goes under freezing point. The thing about Canada is that it's very similar to the US so it's almost pointless. Except for the fact that our dollar is more than the US dollar. (well actually this could've changed lol)

UK would be awesome because you can like take the chunnel to France and visit many other European countries in your spare time.

Australia is pretty cool too. They also have a lot of tourist attractions, nice beaches...just remember their seasons are opposite of us in North America!

I would REALLY suggest the UK if you stay in London. It would definitely be the experience of a lifetime!

(just remember it can be cold sometimes there too. I think it rains like a lot! but still pretty awesome)

    : )

  4. From what I've read recently, many, many people want to go to Australia! I hear people are very friendly there, and when you are in the city, you still see insects and nature around you (as compared to NYC for example, where you won't see a butterfly).

I hear lots of complaints about the UK, it's not the same anymore. Lots of tension due to large numbers of immigrants pouring in from everywhere.

Canada is close by, probably not as exotic as Australia.

    I'd go with Australia!

  5. Canada. There are some provinces that are really warm

    example: Alberta (warmest one)

    Go there

there are some new things you can find!

(I live in Alberta so yeah)

  6. Canada !! The west coast isn't that cold! In the summer it's down right balmy!! It's just beautiful here! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! It's true Canadians are very polite and friendly! Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me! ♥
