Maybe we don't always have to be bad at sport.

  1. No, I always enjoy the Olympics.

Completely disillusioned with football, where the players are overpaid and more attention is given to their wives and girlfriends than to their ability.

I prefer watching athletes working to reach the top of their sport who are often having to balance training with a full-time job.  Ordinary people in one sense, but extraordinary in another.

It's also about the only time you get to see a lot of these sports on TV.  My only regret is that they pack it in over two weeks, meaning you can't see it all.

The government set a medal taget of 41 for these games which I thought was unrealistically high.  But it's looking like we're going to surpass it.

The Olympic success even managed to make me forget Gordon Brown was Prime Minister until yesterday when he popped up on TV.  So that was another reason to be cheerful.

  2. I always watch the Olympics. Now Team GB is doing so well in it I'm literally glued to BBC1 (multiscreen) and the internet when I'm not in my living room.

  5. yeah, it does become more interesting when we do well

  6. Nope!

  7. Yeh, last time I didn't watch a single event from start to finish!

But this time, its become much more interesting, maybe because we're doing well!
