UK-CRB and vetting of EU citizen?

Can I be properly vetted in UK,when I'm from Slovakia (EU)?

Could UK Security agency,which provides security screenings and vetting services find out, whether you have a criminal record at home?

of course they COULD. questions is will they. if you are going for a government role where you require a high security clearance, then yes. not sure what you did, but you might as well tell your potential employer what you have done. if it is something minor like spitting on a pavement, you should be ok
