  1. I know you're in Northants, but even for a day trip go to Manchester. As a fellow Mancunian I can whole heartily suggest going the German Market that Manchester has to offer over a few weeks leading upto Christmas.  It's brill!

  2. The UK is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland altogether,

Do you mean all of the UK?

    I only know England,

    Lincoln,

    Manchester,

    Skipton,

    Grassmere,

    Leeds,

    Bath,

    Oxford,

  3. Leeds has a brilliant German market in Millennium Square.  I think it lasts fr about two weeks in early December and has a huge beer hall with mulled wine.

  4. They do not have them in Birmingham as they fear they might upset non-christians.  Which is inconvenient as you live in Northants.

  5. There's a good one in Lincoln up near the cathedral.

    Nottingham have one also.

  6. Lincoln has a fantastic one, ive been many times,  the Manchester one is worth going to as well.

  7. There is a really c**p one in Leeds every year which is basically a big beer tent, some dodgems and a stall selling candles.

  8. I've been to the ones in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham. Personally, I think the Glasgow one is the best. It's far larger than the other ones, and more centralised.

Manchester's one is held in St Anne's square, round the area where the IRA bomb went off. If you're not familiar with Manchester it'd be easy to miss it.

Birmingham does have a market- it's in Victoria square in front of the Town hall- where the 'floozy in the jacuzzi' fountain is.

Edinburgh's one is in the main park alongside Princes Street.
