  1. You need to file for a fiance visa.  You will need to prove that you have sufficient income and assets to support him and guarantee a $30,000 bond.  It takes about a year, in some cases 1-1/2, to get the visa.  He may then enter the US and you have 90 days to marry.  You can then file an application for a spousal visa if you two want to stay here together while he applies for your spousal visa to Scotland.

  2. ok well my wife was from scotland also and all she needed to get married over here in the states was passport bith certificate and then we just applied for a marriage license (then got married )...it really isnt all that to get married over here now on the other hand if he iis trying to stay here then that process is more intense and same if your tryin to go over there ......

  3. You need to get him a fiance visa.  This is going to take about a year, maybe longer.  He just can't come here to get married.  That's not the way the system is supposed to work.

I assume you've met him in person, that's required.

You file I-129F, I-864 and G-325A with the USCIS.  In 6 to 8 months he'll get a packet of info from the closest US consulate to where he's living.  He'll fill out the forms, get a physical exam and return everything to the consulate.

Eventually he'll be scheduled for an interview.  If approved, he'll get his fiance visa.  He then come to the USA.  After he gets here you have 90 days to get married.

After you're married he files I-485 and I-765 with the USCIS.

    The forms are here.....

  4. sorry , all full , stay home .

  5. All the answers above are correct. Don't ask your boyfriend to enter the US with the visa waiver in order to get married. You will have some trouble with immigration in this case.

He needs to apply for a K-1 visa or fiance visa (one single entry)
