(UK) Costco's are they a real wholesaler or a supermarket masquerading as one?

Ive noticed there cheap but not cheap enough to sell on products at a profit, plus pretty much anyone can get a card to use it.

I find them to be somewhere inbetween- usually they are cheaper than the supermarket- but you have to buy loads of whatever it is you want-

Well a lot of shopkeepers use them so the must be a wholesaler

They describe themselves as a 'membership warehouse club' so they are a wholesaler who allows 'selected' members of the public to shop.

I Like shopping there because they only sell good quality goods usually cheaper than high street stores

The criteria for membership is quite strict.
