Do you think Brown is exploiting motorists for easy revenue?
75 pence out of every litre of petrol is tax.
There is talk of fuel costing £2 a litre by Christmas and the average car will cost £100 pound to fill.
The roads of Britain are the logistic life blood that keeps the economy working. Deliveries, transport and professional trades need to increase their prices just to earn a liveable wage. Food prices, electricity, gas and water have rocketed and you couldn't even drown your sorrows at £4 a pint.
When will those MP's take real steps to aid the people?
Afterall, it is your taxes that pay their wages and the voters are not being listened to, which isn't right in a democracy.
Money needs to move and flow to maintain a healthy economy.
My theory...
Start by dropping taxes on the necessities like fuel and food.
People will have more to spend. Businesses will be able to supply at cheaper cost and the taxman will still get his cut.
Better than taxing the K to death.
