UK Economy and arms sales?

It was reported recently in the paper that due to a massive deal with the Saudis Britain displaced the USA as the worlds larges manufacturer of weapons. Can anyone summarise the UK economy (bit rusty on GDP, GNP definitions etc) to show what percentage arms sales represents? What are our other main outputs?

Have a look at the office for national statistics - I think the arms deal your talking about is Al Yamama (The Dove) which was done during the 1980's and Wikipedia will tell you what to include when calculating gross Domestic and Gross National Products.  Also try the CIA world fact book (google it)
