Living in the Essonne and would like to expand my knowledge of places to buy English goodies in the Paris and Île de France area, particularly in the Essonne/Seine et Marne regions.

  1. See if there is  a Marks and Spencer's store near you.  They have all kinds of English groceries as you might imagine.  Even in some French supermarkets you can find Sarah Lee pies from the UK, Cadbury fingers, etc.

  2. There are no longer any Marks and Spencers in France. They were the main area where English food was available.

The Irish grocery near Republique is indeed fine.

Some of the larger Monoprix (the one near Convention) have food from many different countries, including Britain.

And the only place where I could find haggis in Paris was the Office du Tourisme of Scotland, but unfortunately, it is now closed to the public.

  3. L'Epicerie Anglaise Ecossaise Irlandaise de Paris (not a joke!!!).

    5, cité du Wauxhall

    75010 Paris

I have never been there, but I have heard that people go there when they want to buy.......Marmite (why would anyone want to buy THAT in France, mon dieu!).

Apparently there's also a place called Yummy's, but I haven't checked on it:

    Enjoy the Marmite!
