I'm getting rid of the TV. I'm sure the savings on the licence fee will more than cover the expence.

  7. Its all so banks take people's houses. Goverment is in on it also they need to raise cash. The people are suffering her in the UK, its the worst country in Europe to live right now.

  8. Could we do without the present government, which has done SFA about a chain of events that hurt only the more vulnerable working poor?

  9. a holiday.

  10. Ripped off again with the blessing of our caring government !

  11. I am already struggling single wage coming in son moving out soon no it won;t be any cheaper.

What should I do with out well apparently we all need a tv and the internet according to the government oh and apparently we could all get by on £144 per week.  So guess according to the government I am rolling in it.

My pay rise this year was less than £5 per week all my bills have gone up more than double that..   There are many people who are going to struggle and I think its frightening.

I will be sitting in the dark most of the time and only turning the heating on when I have to. In this day and age no one should find themselves in these type of circumstances.

The government has a lot to answer for and having just tried to go for a 21% payrise for themselves have no grasp of the real world.

I feel sad to say that no longer am I proud to be British and if I could afford to leave the country I could and I was born here.

  12. can i point out that inflation has been much much higher when we had nationalized utilities. (1970's anyone)

    STOP BOOING.

  13. Just about everything I should think - and we are not badly off.   Two of us working full time and no dependant children now (that's a joke though, kids are ALWAYS dependant and I would never begrudge them anything we can afford).  Exotic holidays will be out of the question though if we want to live well, but I shall not really miss those.  How on earth some folks will manage at all is very worrying - especially if they have several small children.  We will have to turn the heating off and sit round a candle - if it gets REALLY cold this winter - I will just have to light the candle!

  14. I have no idea, Im gutted as well, I have oil-fired heating and oil today was 61p a litre, because I had to get a delivery.  By the end of the year I reckon it will be at least £1.00.

  15. Food

Or just freeze to death.  Starve or freeze, it won't be a pretty end.

Still, as long as the businessmen get their money eh? Capitalism is so wonderful don't you think.  Yay for privatisation (not) . . .
