Law 'to change' on witness rules

Jack Straw said the laws of evidence have to reflect 'real life' witness fears

The government has vowed to change the law to allow anonymous witnesses in some court cases after a key Law Lords ruling effectively halted the practice.

Justice Secretary Jack Straw said there was a real need for some witnesses to have their identities protected.

Mr Straw told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that the law will be changed "as quickly as possible".

The ruling quashed the murder conviction of a man who was convicted with the aid of anonymous evidence.

Police have warned that serious criminals could walk free as a result.

Are cops just saying there what GB tells 'em?

  1. Do you know whent he auditions are being held?

  2. I understand your concerns, I really do.

However, GB's enemies apart; we do have a problem of Gang Fear on our streets and definite street ownership by gangs.

As the Law is totally bereft of ideas. and the spine to cope with this lawlessness, they have to accede to knee jerk.

The only alternative is that the ordinary innocent person buys a gun from where they are apparently freely and cheaply available.

Perhaps gangs of 50 year old's strolling the streets killing any youth they regard as a 'Chav', Gang Member or in their eyes potential gang member would be better.

I don't know your age, but if you are under 25 years under the above scenario your life would be in constant danger by just walking the street.
