UK I have got a Freesat dish and box but I need a Satfinder?

They are too expensive to buy - any ideas? (apart from getting an engineer which I might have to do anyway).

  1. By satfinder what do you mean?

    You need a compass and find due south. Then move 28.2 degrees to the east and there it is. Then just move your dish up and down until you get the signal.

    Took me about 30 minutes.

    If you want to use a meter then they are about £10 for a reasonable one, you get them online from Maplins

    Incidentally if you are at the stage of setting up then for £40 you could add motor to the dish and you could then tune to 23 satellites and have over 6300 channels and no subscriptions to worry about.


  2. Yes what ascoile said. I had some moonrakers a long time ago   & had a rotary box to turn them with.
