  1. I think it's easier if you have already been part of the Boy Scouts as when you reach the age to leave, you can just move on and become a leader.

If not, experience working with kids would be good. They will do a disclosure check on you to check that you haven't got any history with harming children or that.

You'll need to be out-going, kind and know about the background of Scouts.

As with training, you might need to learn first aid or whatever, but I think it's a learn as you go along kind of job.

  2. Contact your local scout centre.

The above posts are correct, a criminal background check is essential to check that you are eligable to work with young people.

  3. The first thing would be a police check, I would have thought.

  4. 1. CRB Check

    2. No Training Really Just Dedication

    3. You Have To Follow The Rules

    4. Being Able To Take Time Off Work For Camps Over Weekends

    5. Able To Put A Tent Up lol

    6. Sometimes being physically fit helps due to walks, camps, climbing, bike riding etc

    7. Being Happy and Being Yourself

    8. First Aid Will Also help but as long as one of the leaders can you can learn the basics from them

    GOOD LUCK

  5. Police check 1st [UK]
