I do mean in a secluded or quiet spot with no public attention, obviously at midday in the middle of a high street would be seen as indecent exposure!

  1. Yes, I got done for it in about 1981.  And it comes under something like the indecent behaviour act (or something similar) very embarrassing getting your name called out in the corridors outside the court when everyone has read the court lists which show your name and 'indecent whatever it was", but it doesn't say it was just peeing drunk in the high street.

  2. N'ah surely not!

i think it's only uptight places like america and respectable places like Hong Kong that are against it.

We couldn't care less over here, how many times have you driven down the motorway, walked down the streets at night even in the day and seen peeps using their stream of justice?

  3. It is.

Just because no one sees it does not mean it is not an offence.

However, the has to be a witness for a complaint to be made.

I once did so after a night on the beer and once started could not stop for about 2minutes. That's quite a long rime to pee. If anyone had come along I simply could not have stopped.

  4. If someone sees you , yes.

  5. Unless you are pregnant then yes it is an offence.

  6. There are also cameras to think of whether it's illegal or not - they're everywhere these days.

  7. its only an offence if your caught with your trousers down, baby!!

  8. You are free to pee wherever just don't get caught.

  9. Urinating in public is not a criminal offence on national statute.

It is however an offence contrary to many local bye laws and could also be considered a public order or indecency offence depending on the circumstances.

  10. Yes it is and it's absolutely bizarre considering the lack of public toilets in this country!

I have no problem if people are discreet, but those who do it in full view should be locked up or at least fined

  11. Yes the offence is called Void Urine.

In my force if you are caught you are liable for a £80 fixed penalty notice on the spot.

Mostly we turn a blind eye but on a Friday and Saturday night people don't want to see rows of drunken men pissing in street.

If it was your doorway you would want us to do something about it.

  12. Apparently not, however you must make sure that you are not exposed.

  13. Its the same offence no matter where its done or how many people are able to view it

  14. I think it is bcuz u cannot be 100% sure no member of the public cannot see you. (The police assume that anyway)

  15. It doesn't matter where you are, how secluded it is, what time of the day or if anyones around. If you get caught by police, its like a £80 fine. So i dont recommend it :)

  16. I live in the Allegheny mountains of eastern West Virginia. My house is on and surrounded by forested hills. Hunters pee in the woods all the time, just like the deer do. And when the water in the cistern runs out and I can't flush the toilet in the house, I use my outhouse for Number Two. But for peeing, I just go to the edge of the woods behind the goat pasture. Haven't gotten a ticket yet!
