  1. I am a Postman - Normally recorded and ordinary parcels are treated just the same, only that with the recorded the postie should get a signature on delivery.  The usual delivery time for Royal Mail parcels is 1 - 5 days.

To answer your question it would depend on the size of both parcels, small ones are usually delivered by your regular walking postie and large ones by drivers in vans.  So yes there is a good chance you will get a separate delivery at some point over the next few days.

Also with the volume of mail sent through the Royal Mail system (80,000,000 separate items per day) it is possible that the 2 items have not been sorted onto the same delivery schedule and you may get 2 vans turning up at different times to deliver each parcel.

  2. it should come at the same time

unless one was like first class, and the other was second class stamps

  3. It depends where the not recorded one is coming from and whether it's first class
