I am thinking of doing it next year. I know what most people think (its not good), but I am not sure what employers in the public sector would think. So would employers respect such a degree before I go ahead and do it.

  1. If you're looking to do any sort of social research-type work in the public sector, then a sociology degree is probably essential.

  2. Check out the jobs section on your local civil service web site look for the job you eventually want, and check what the qualification requirements are, probably the best way of finding out what they want.

  3. Yes and No..... It's a degree that requires higher matriculation to be utilized as a means of employment..... unless you write a book, then people say he or she must know what they're talking about.
