UK Maps or SOFTWARE for GARMIN C550 GPS?

I have a GARMIN C550 GPS programed for the US, but I'm going to the UK Saturday and would like to use my gps to navigate through london and the English countryside. Anyone familiar with where to find and how to program a uk map onto my gps? I went to the garmin website but can't find what I'm looking for. I don't have the luxury of ordering a cd and waiting for it to arrive as I'm flying out Saturday. I thought I could plug the gps into my computer and download maps? it came with a usb cord but so I'm assuming this is possible. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Since you don't have the luxury of time you'll probably be limited to getting some free maps.
