I have lost my job, they did dismiss me without any serious reason, but I do not want to return there.

The problem is : When I do apply for a new job vacancy, the new employer does send a Reference Form to the previous one, for an information about me ( 3 years of work ) BUT the previous employer does not answer to it ( maiciously I think )

And I have still problem. I can start a new job, but I do wait, the new employer does wait for the reference. And this is silly circle ....

Question : What can I do, by low ??

I can not force employer to give me a reference, but they should answer to a new employer. I do not want a reference for my pleasure, only the new employer does need it for his happines.

I am not a killer because I do walk free ....

I have worked 3 years in the last place, in that time I have passed many job exams, trainings, and NVQ.

So, what is the reference for ???????

zibi :-))

  1. The reference is obviously to find out what your work standards are, your time keeping, and so on.

Your previous employer is not allowed to give you a bad reference.

Alternatively, they are allowed to refuse to give you a reference.

By not giving you a reference, they are basically saying that if they did give you one then it would be a bad one.

Easiest solution is to tell your new employer that you and your old employer didn't see eye to eye on certain things, that is the reason that he refuses to give you one.
