When you have received a professional qualification, eg BA (Hons) or BSc(Hons) is it possible to change your bank details to include it on your bank cards etc eg "Miss Example BA (Hons)".

It was a rumour I heard a few weeks ago!

Thanks!

  1. you can put anything you wish, as long as you can prove the title..

my mate puts Dr. before his name, and guess what ...

    he's a VET!

    lol

  2. No, why would you want to?! Doctors can have Dr instead of mr or mrs etc but no you cant have your ba hons stretched across your card!

  3. You could if you wanted to call the bank and get it added, it looks very pretentious and a first degree means less and less nowadays. I could see the point if it were a doctorate other than that why bother.

  4. That would be so silly. You should be proud of your degree, but to splash it across a cheque would look cheap.

  5. They might but like you say it is more relevent when related to a profession and  qualifications are best used on headed paper or business cards than cheques and plastic cards.

  6. Only if you're really sad....

Sorry, it always looks baaaad if someone feels the need to add this to their details, including on a business card.  The only qualifications worth showing are those relevant to the job you do, ie Dr or an accounting exam etc etc.

Otherwise it looks as if you're either a show off or insecure - but most likely both.  It's good that you're proud of your achievements but no need to wear them on your sleeve - let people discover them.
