UK Pet Travel Scheme.HELP ME !!!!?

Question

I am moving to Wales from Italy next week for good.I also have a dog with me.My dear pet!

I thought that I would have waited just one week after the issue of my dog's passport to bring him to Wales but I came to know that I have to wait for about 6 months after my pet's blood examinations.Oh my God!

I have no relative to take care of him until November.I know that there's another possibility: quarantine.

Is that sure?Can I trust leaving my dog in quarantine in the UK?

Hi there! I feel with you a lot as I have been trying to bring my dog overehere to England. Regarding the quarantine I have heard some of them are good but some of them are not. I personally would not leave my dog in a quarantine but its my personal decision. For more info check www.freespace.virgin.net/passports.forpe...

Also dont forget u have to have your doggie microchipped and vaccinated against rabies, and if the results are negative, your pet can enter the uk after 6 months without being put into quarantine. For more info check www.defra.gov.uk

My friend brought his dog over from South Africa and it had to be kept in quarantine - and he was completely fine afterwards (though my friend then decided to go back to South Africa!!)
