Good for Asda and Morrisons! I only hope that other petrol retailers follow their lead. Not only other supermarkets, but also the smaller independents. This is the news UK motroists have been waiting for..

  1. that's only 1p cheaper for our asda it was only ever £129.9 :(

Tesco has already got the 5p of when you spend £50 so that report is not factually correct.

Not that we ever spend £50 on shopping, I am sure it would come to £50 at Sainsbury's tho!!

It would be good news if the Government gave us all a cut in tax on it.... been as they are getting more from the VAT.

  2. Finally! Someone other than me agrees that petrol prices should naturally go up. Why? To cut carbon emissions and make this a cleaner, greener, safer world.

I for on am fed up of hearing about how expensive it is to drive a car. Funny though there are still billions on the bloody roads. Get out and walk people!

  3. they all have price watch in my area, so they all will end up costing the same.

  4. Don't celebrate too early....as soon as the government realises that the price is coming down they'll slap on some more tax.

  5. I've been outside Tesco to see who is getting a taxi, laden with £50 of shopping, asking them for their save 5p a litre coupon.  With a full tank it's a worth it saving.  I don't even like Tesco's but my client shops there occasionally and sometimes goes in for coffee, so if I am passing those who have to give, I ask.   Last time it was two Russian's who I had to smile and sort of sign language to them and they were so sweet.

  6. glad we waited until today to fill up (we usually do it at the weekend)

  7. They should be doing that worldwide.

  8. The price of a barrel of oil has come down - so petrol retailers are not being so generous.
