So the UK fuel prices keep rising, what are you going to do about it? I know petrol is running out, but the main cost of fuel is the duty tax. I wondered how many people had heard of the Downing Street petition http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Lowerduty30/?

Fuel in Devon is now priced at 115.9!!! Is your local public transport adequate and cost effective enough to use instead of your car? I know ours isn't!

  1. Yeah, I have already signed it.

I know how you feel, its 111.9 in Manchester at the moment and no the public transport here is neither adequate OR cost effictive. I work on the oppisite side of Manchester to where I live. It only takes me 30 mins to drive to work but if I had to use public transport I would have to leave my house at 6am, catch 2 buses', a tram then have to walk to my office.

  2. I've signed it too, but I doubt it'll make much difference.

I've signed quite a few of the PM petitions, and they always give a c**p answer that doesn't address the issue.

Same with the Manchester congestion charge- the government won't do a thing about it.

I find the easiest way to deal with petrol prices is just to not look at the price. I need petrol, I get petrol. If it costs me a fortune, then I just have to cope. Not fair (especially as I'm a student and have no income) but sadly that's life
