UK Question about switching current account bank accounts.?

Question

If you switch from one bank to another using thier switching facility to move all your direct debits and standing orders, can the account that you are switching from cancel your account or your overdraft?

As its still your account, just because you have 'moved' your debits to another account shouldnt mean that they cancel anything to do with your current account, ntil you cancel this account yourself.
