UK: The Football Association says Great Britain will have a team at London 2012.....

So it looks like it's gonna happen whether any of us like it or not. But what's your opinion - good or bad idea?

Good idea.......

Four players (obiously Under 23s) from each of the 4 Home Nations picked and managed by successful applicant for the job.

The Olympics is an international event and those who play should only be those who are truly proud to represent Team GB.

I would have been at that age.........

bad idea, if the other home nations don't agree to it then they can keep their players out of it meaning it will be an england team, which won't be our strongest (it is under23's) but will also play into the hands of uefa and fifa who will say we can do it at the euro's and world cup.

I think English players will dominate the lineup. This is why Scotland, NI etc. have not been enthused by the idea.

I don't see the point unless they give youngsters a chance and leave the major footballing tournaments to the best 11.

i think its a good idea - we compete in other olympic events as a united country so why not football.

think is a good idea because it helps people show case there talents     .people in different organized countries do this especially to help the youth who are the core of our countries  .Youths are important  for   our      Nations they  should not be idle

As I answered to a similar question last week, the home FA`s are scared of losing their individual right to play in other major tournements, especially if Mr Sebb Blabber gets involved . Listening to 5 Live sport recently the chairman of the Scottish FA comepletly blanked it

I think it is a bad idea because I think that each country should have their own football team. Why do we have to have 4 countries in one. England are much better than the rest of the U.K

it's a really,really bad idea.we all know England will dominate the line up.Not for political or sentimental reason.it is plain to see they have got all the talents.
