  1. All the information you need is on the Virgin Trains website.

  2. Look on the ticket to see for when it is valid. Standard rail tickets (usually called Saver Returns) are valid on a specific day on the outbound voyage and then for up to a month after that date for the return.  Because they were operating bus services yesterday, you almost certainly will not be able to use it because the company will say they provided the service you purchased. Even though that sucks!

  3. Hi Paul

the best thing to do is to pop into the station, and ask or ring VT and see what they say, but it does depend on the ticket you hold, hence the call or visit to VT. (google virgin trains)

Im assuming they will give you a refund and then you will have to buy another one if its a cheap ticket rather than an open return.

    hope this helps..

  4. u should walk there its cheaper

  5. It depends on what type of ticket you have. Certainley an Outward portion would be no good as they are dated for a specific day and journeys must be completed that day. If it is a return portion ticket, then as long as it is a Saver or Open Return then yes you can travel (within the ticket restrictions) upto 1 month from purchase.

If you had an advance purchase cheaper ticket then I am afraid you cant even get a refund on the ticket.

  6. If it was an advance purchase ticket valid only for a specific train , or the outward portion of a 'Saver' or 'Open Return' ticket, telephone Virgin Trains ticketing on 08457 222 333. If it is the return portion of a 'Saver' or 'Open Return Ticket' it is valid for a month in the usual way. Following the recent disruption 'Saver' tickets can be used on all Virgin  trains up to and including Tuesday 8th January including peak hour trains.

  7. Was it the out-going ticket? If so, go to the station and get a refund or new ticket.

Was it the return journey? Should have a 'valid till' date on it, if it's 05 JAN 08 or before, it's no good to anybody. If it's 06 JAN 08, go today. If it's 07 JAN 08 or after that's how long you have.

  8. if its an open return you can use it cos its vaild for a month but only on the return journey check with the rail company you might be able to blag it..
