UK: What the freakin' h**l is going on with utility(Gas/Electric) bills?

I can't afford to pay these freakin'prices and eat, so I guess I'm dead, so who's going to pay my bill Father Christmas perhaps?

the utility companies are robbing us blind! i am sure it is all a con!

I am with n power, used to pay 30 fr gas and same fr electric.

now they want 60 fr gas and 50 fr electric. my flat is still the same old 2 bed flat!!!

I don't know where to move my supply to. God, these companies are going to kill is, surely??

i am dreading winter!

this is what we get after 11 yrs of labour -they have wrecked this country, i am certain now. Mr Darling agrees now that he did not see how bad it is- that is no help to us, is it?

if anyone here knows or can suggest the best price company pl tell us.

i find they are all the same! U move to a company and tomorrow they put up the prices!!

I put 25 pounds in my electric meter and 10 in my gas meter, and thats just in the summer!! thats per week

It's the effect of the credit crunch, something to do with the American housing market. I can't pay my bills either, so I'm gonna let my overdraft grow and grow until the bank write me a letter saying they're coming round to take my sofa away. Maybe then I'll kill myself too...

The Victorian's managed to run most of the world without 'basics' like central heating, fridges, electricity, so it is doable in extreme situations! It sucks that we have to resprt to things like this, but no way in h**l am I going bankrupt and losing everything!

Something to do with the cost of drilling for oil and natural gas going through the roof, which is pushing the price of not only gas and electricity but petrol and diesel as well.

What really p###es me of is that the energy companies then release their profits info for the last 6 months of into the millions.

but hey ho what can we do.
