Hi everyone, I am UK citizen, but live in Canada, I am thinking of taking nursing course here in Toronto, I have to pay for this, four years in uni, do you think when i move back to the UK, the degree I have received would help me? Don't want to waste my time, if it does not. I'd rather move back to the UK and do it there. What do you guys think?

  1. You need to write to the royal college of nursing. They will have a list of equivalents. Yo would not need to retrain but you may need to do a short course to get you acclimatised.

I know New Zealand and Australian nurses can work here with no extra training but I think US nurses can't.

The Royal College of Nursing controls who can and can't work as a nurse so they are really the only people who can tell you for sure.

  2. On return to UK ,if I remember correctly you will have no problem as most of the old empire countries credentials are accepted at face value-at most you may have a one page q&a .good luck lass.
