UK hard question, all advantages gained when becoming 16?

im 14 and i always hear about 16 year old getting independince like driving licenses the right to live seperatly the right to work, etc..

can you tell me about that please?

  1. Driving is 17+. You can however, start taking lessons on a track that have traffic lights and all sorts from the age of 16.

    You can take a test for a moped.

    You can find a job.

    Smoking. You are alloud to smoke at any age, but you must have your parents permission. Buying them you have to be 18+.

    Legally alloud to have s*x.

    Can buy lottery tickets.

    Drinking. Your alloud to be 5+ to drink in a bar. But not at the bar, and you must have your parents with you. 18+ to buy drink.

    You can drive, but only if you wanna drive a 3 wheeler. There not class as cars as they have not got 4 wheels!

    at 16 you can move out - can't buy a place until 18.

    you can work, with your national insurance.

    you can buy a lottery ticket.

    you can have legal s*x.

    you can have a limited amount of alcohol with a parent in a resturaunt ( i THINK)

    your legally allowed to smoke - but not purchase cigarteetes.

        * You can have a full time job if you have officially left school. You need to remember that you can't work full time until the last Friday in June - even if you have turned 16 before this.

        * You can live independently, subject to certain conditions being met.

        * You can get married with your parents' or guardians' consent.

        * You can ride a moped of up to 50ccs.

        * You can pilot a glider.

        * A girl must be 16 before she can legally have s*x with a boy.

        * It is illegal for a boy or man to have s*x with a girl under 16, even if she has agreed.

        * A male may consent to a homosexual act if he and his partner are both over 16

        * You can have an abortion without your parents consent.

        * A boy can join the armed forces with his parents' or carers' consent.

        * You can apply for your own passport.

        * You can have beer or cider whilst eating a meal in a restaurant or an eating area of a pub, but not in the bar.
