Question:

UK home office removal/deportation question

My girlfriend is not from this country and is currently on a spousal visa as she is married to an english guy. The divorce is currently going through. Once its finalised I know she will have to go home. Can someone give me a brief general outline of what happens? Does she get any notice to get out (because she at least needs to book her plane ticket or something!) or will she be picked up and put on a plane? Will the home office pay for her flight if she doesnt have enough?

Any information will be really appreciated.

  1. She'll only get deported if she broke the law ie had a fake visa or overstayed her visit.

Home Office will give her notice to leave and won't pay for her ticket.  UnlesS valid proof can be profided that she doesn't have the funds.

  2. If she is getting divorced because of domestic violence she could be allowed to stay - seek further advice

If her visa will no longer be valid she needs to check what date it runs out and leave before then - getting deported is not a good idea because it will limit getting back into the country

If you want to marry her, then she will need to go back to her country and apply for a spouse visa from there

  3. Oh no.  she will be looked after very well by the Home Office.  she will also get a fully furnished flat in the centre of London with all expenses paid.  Visitors to this country are generally looked after very well.

Is she looking for a new husband.  If so she can contact me.

  4. best of luck to her were she from i may be interested
