UK in summer and winter...? Need Help!?

1. Why is it supposedly hotter in the UK in summer than in the winter?

2. Why is it colder in the UK in the winter than in the summer?

i don't think it's only in UK that summer is hotter than the winter.. and so is the opposite that winter is colder than summer.. i think in every sub tropical climates, every country that has four season will also has that.

that's because earth position to the sun that is tilted +/- 23,5 degree on its axis, resulting in summer earth receive lots of solar radiation, and in other way when it is winter earth position makes it doesn't recieve much solar radiation. In south and north pole it's even dark for 6 months.
