UK marriage certificate?

hello, i am a uk citizen married to a chinese national. We got married in shanghai and currently we both live in the uk. i just want to know how to go about getting a UK (English) marriage certificate? most of our documnets is in chinese and some translated into english. Would we need to re-register in a marriage office here in the UK? thanks

    Same situation was with me, Cause i was indian and my husband  is a brit national. We also got married in india, and then we went to the registrar marrige office and showed him all the legal documents, After everything was cleared he booked a date for us to get married here in the court and after that he gave us our british marrige certificate.So i am pretty much sure that u will have to get married again according to the british law to obtain your marrige of certificate and for that your wife should be present  at both the times.Hope this helps.

Civil Ceremony....

Marriages overseas are not recognized in the same manor over here. Pop down ye' old registry office for the forms & set a date.
