UK - moving home and setting up the phone?

I'm moving into a new house next week, and have most things organised, but I'm really confused about what we have to do to get the phone set up in our name (BT line). Can anyone help?

nice and easy, just give them a call on 150 from a bt line (or 0800800150 from any other line) but be aware if its a new build property Openreach will charge around £125 for connecting the line regardless of the service provider you choose. if its an old property with an exsisting service there should be no charge for activating the line

Above answer is spot on but call BT today as your running out of time, if it's a line to be installed. if the house has a phone line already, then try to get the phone number, it will make the process quicker for you.
