  1. I've heard Pommy refs are just as bad!

  2. FINALLY SOMEBODY SAYS SOMETHING! that ref was shocking cowboys v knights... even though im a sharks fan... my friend was full on blowing up on 3-5 bad calls. Get rid of the NSW bias in out comp. bring in some poms. bring in some kiwis. mix it around a bit so you can get rid of some of the nsw bias.

  3. New Zealand's Glenn Black was offered a place in the NRL a couple of years back. However, he was told he'd have to work his way through the NSWRL Premier League before he got first grade honours and he insisted on getting first grade honours right from the outset and that killed the deal.

We do have a few other refs who I consider to be of good quality, namely Craig Pascoe, Dave Pakieto and Leon Williamson. I have noticed Williamson has done a couple of the Toyota Cup games, and also had a trip to England to do a few SuperLeague games last year and from all accounts handled himself really well in that game.

Pascoe and Pakieto both did Bartercard Cup grand finals and Pascoe did the Junior Kiwis - Junior Kangaroo match at Wellington last October. He had a very good game, which is a sign that he can handle the pressure of the bigtime. Pakieto was the video ref in the recent centennary test match and while he is good I don't consider him to be as good as the other three.

If I was to send you one it would probably be Williamson as he is renowned as NZ's best referee at the moment. If he were to do some NRL games this year it would certainly help him get a World Cup spot too.

  4. Most of them are not so hot wherever you go.
