UK- what's the cheapest, easiest way in to off-road motorcycle sports?

I am 22 and live in Dorset. A friend of mine races Enduro and I'd love to get involved in an off-road discipline as I have ridden his bike a few times. I don't neccesrily want to compete but would love to join some sort of club that would host off-road tours like many 4x4 clubs do in Land Rovers.

What is the most direct option and what should I budget (bike and equipment etc). I'd also be grateful if anyone could give me an idea of what sort of bikes and what CC to look at- cheers!

  1. Try your local sand racing group.

there are loads in that neck of the woods. Look them up on Google.

  2. this not a cheap hobby let alone to race. be prepaired to spend some money, but i can say i enjoy spending money on this hobby  it beats seeing a shrink which my wife fully agrees with. so if you can do it and have fun

  3. None of it is cheap sadly. It seems money buys a lot in motorsport. I'm trying to start a girls motocross championship up. Take a look pass it on to any girls you know.
