UMM explination?

so im a CAPS fan but i was watchin ESPN and whats about this and the Madison Square Garden possibly not owning the Rangers b/c of a law suit (something like that).. help???

Basically, the NHL wants to control the marketing rights for all 30 teams. The Rangers management are the only one's that have resisted. Now, the NHL is trying to use legal proceedings to have the Rangers comply through any number of ways, up to and including the removal of the ownership.

I may be a Flyers fan, but I'm behind the Rangers on this one. I ain't a corporate kind of guy.

this is so stupid. bettman is an a hole he really needs to get a life. first of all why should the league have control of every teams website. why should every team have to have the same website its so stupid. i think every team should have control of their own website so that they aren't the same. when the rangers had to change their website i was pissed but thats besides the point. this whole thing is so stupid. not that i love the rangers owners but i do love the garden. if bettman does any more than try to change the owners there will be problems. if he tries to not have them play in the garden or get rid of the team it will be a big mistake. first of all madison square garden is so famous and such an important place the nhl would lose fans if they stopped the rangers from playing there. i doubt that this would happen but if they made the rangers leave the league like the yahoo sports article said than it would be the worst thing they could ever do. not only are they getting rid of an original six team but one of the most popular teams. i doubt this would happen but still this whole law suit is so dumb, bettman is an idiot. i hate him
