UMUC-Asia (University of Maryland University College- Asia)- A Bunch of Jerks?

Over one month ago, I contacted this school (by mail) to request my official transcripts be mailed to my new stateside college.

Well, they had no problem cashing the transcript fee check, but STILL NO TRANSCRIPTS. The best part is how I have sent 5 emails (some to other offices there, as the transcript office is obviously ignoring me), and no responses. Wow- you have got to be kidding me.

I am ticked (that is the nice way of putting it).

They are really s******g things up for me right now.

Any similar experiences? Are these folks really this unprofessional?

To be honest, email has to be one of the worst ways to get important things out of a university. If you need something from the registrar's office (that's the office that handles transcripts), then call them or send them a letter by snail mail. At this point, because they've already cashed the check, but no transcript has been sent, I'd want you to call them. Yes, this may be expensive - international call and all - but it may just get your issue resolved.
