UNABLE TO EDIT FILES in my large yahoo group. Any idea how to solve this??

Question

1) Have owned this group for 5 years--have many text files and folders in the FILES section.

2) Suddenly this year, I've been unable to edit ANY of the files I have put up. When I click on EDIT, I get the FILE ATTRIBUTES, and the AUTO-SEND TO MEMBERS....and no more. Nothing underneath to edit.

3) One file needs monthly additions---I am now unable to add anything.

4) I emailed Customer Support--first she implied I wasn't logged in as owner. I AM LOGGED IN AS OWNER. Then "he" recommended to start new file--I did...and the EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED---I couldn't edit i.e. if I tried to add, nothing there under Auto-Send.

5) The help stopped coming. They left it unresolved!!

Has anybody gotten successful help for this??

instead of trying to edit it, try to open the file and see what program pops up to open it- maybe some how it got messed up. others in other area's of yahoo have reported this as well. text created files should be able to be edited at any time, creating a 'add file' is an upload that generally cant be edited.

only thing I can suggest is open the file, copy and paste it and enter it again as a text file

I remember you asking about this problem recently and I gave you suggestions.  Sorry Y! staff didn't help you.  The only thing I can think of is to assign a trusted member as a Moderator and see if she/he has the same problem as you have had.  If that person can edit the file for you, at least that part of the problem would be solved.  I simply can't imagine what Yahoo glitch has occurred to prevent you from editing your files.
