I have been working as an apprentice for a large business compnay for 2 weeks and today i have been told that by no fault of my own i have been sacked the reason being that due to them being so busy and short of workers they do not have the time to be able to train me.

I have always arrived there atleast 10 mins before I need to start and always put the best of my effort in to the work i did there and my manager confirmed these points with me so do you think they are they dissmising me unfairly???????????

  1. its their right to dismiss you, but dont give up, look for other opportunites

  2. That is the excuse. There is another reason way that they are not telling you.

  3. No, if they don't have the time they don't have the time.  I really don't think you have a case for a grievance here.

  4. it's because your hot and someone is MAD!!!! did you make some girl jealouse LOL, maybe the bosses WIFE

  5. No, you are an employee-at-will and thus the company has the right to fire you for any *good* reason and them not having the time to train you is a *good* reason for letting you go.

Perhaps this is better for you anyway. If they do not have the time then how can you benefit, you would be better looking for other employers who do have the time.

However to answer your question you do not have a grievance case for unfair dismissal.
